What time is check in and check out? 

Arrival time is after 3.00pm and the cottage must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. However this can be negotiated depending on availability.

Do you allow dogs? 

No, Craven Cottage operates a pet free policy. 

Is there a pub nearby? 

Yes, the nearest pub is the Pack Horse Inn located 5 minutes walk from the cottage in the village. The Stable Bar and Longstone restaurant at Monsal Head is a 10 minute walk. There are also 2 Pubs just 10 minutes walk away in Great Longstone. The Crispin and The White Lion.

Is smoking permitted at Craven Cottage? 

No, Craven Cottage is a non smoking cottage, however you are welcome to smoke outside using the ashtrays provided.  

Is the rental charge per person? 

No, the rental charge is for the cottage. 

What is included? 

Bed linen, throws, towels, bath mats and tea towels are all provided. 
Gas and electricity are included in the rental charge. 

Do you have internet access?

Yes, we do have a high speed Wi-Fi connection at the cottage (over 10mbs)

Do you accept credit cards?

No, at present we do not accept credit cards, payment can be made with either cheque or cash. 

Do you offer short breaks? 

Yes, Short breaks run from Friday to Monday, or Monday to Friday. 2 night Breaks receive a 15% reduction on the short break tariff.  

Do you have special offers or late deals? 

Yes, we do offer special and late deals throughout year. The best way to be kept informed of offers is to join our mailing list. 

Where is the nearest shop? 

The nearest shop is in Great Longstone just ½ mile away. There are numerous shops, a supermarket, and cash machines in Bakewell just 4 miles away.  

Where can we park our cars? 

There is parking for 2 cars next to the village stocks up to the boundary wall of Craven Cottage. Opposite there is parking for a 1 car. Please ensure that when using this spce that you do not block the gate to the field. Alternative parking can be found in the village car park near to the Pack Horse Pub.
